STATEMENT

私は作品制作において美的真理を追求している。この真理の探求は幼少期に剣道の稽古を通して始まり、鍛錬と集中、そして「間」の重要性を学んだ。 物事と物事の間にある時間と空間の発見から、私は日本の美学における「間」の概念を探求するようになった。私は美学の真理を探求するために「間」の存在を明らかにする。「間」とは、時間と空間の間にある隙間のようなものを指す。「間」は、目には見えないが、さまざまな厚みが確かにある。

時間と空間は哲学において世界を成立させる基本的な形態である。時間は、過去から未来へ絶えず移り流れると考えられている。空間は、上下、四方へ広がると考えられている。時間と空間の原点は一点ではなく、多数の「時間」と「空間」によって「間」が存在すると私は考えた。

鑑賞者に新たな視点を与え、鑑賞者が自己の内面を探求して新たな発見を得られる作品制作を目指している。

I seek aesthetic truths in the creation of my artworks. This quest began in my childhood through the practice of Kendo, where I learned the importance of discipline, focus, and “Ma(mɑ)".  This fascination with the time and space between things led me to explore the concept of "Ma" in Japanese aesthetics. “Ma” certainly has a variety of thicknesses, though not invisible to the eye.

 I reveal the existence of "Ma" to explore aesthetic truths. “Ma” refers to something about a gap that is between times and spaces. Time and space are the basic forms that establish the world in philosophy. Time is thought to flow continuously from the past to the future. Space is thought to spread up and down and in all directions.

I thought that the origin of time and space is not a single point, but a multitude of "times" and "spaces" that make the "Ma" exist.

My goal is to create artwork that gives the viewer a new perspective. My artworks allow them to explore their inner self and understand the world around them.
